Hundred Years of Solitude
I listened again recently after many years, the Oscar song Chavez wrote to Macondo, the town where the story unfolds masterfully Garcia Marquez 'One Hundred Years of Solitude ", and only hear the names of Amaranta Ursula, of Mauricio Babilonia, I got a huge desire to reread this story both influenced my love of literature.
The first time I read it was in high school and I scored. I think the first book I experienced the opposite feelings of wanting to keep reading, but not wanting to stop so that I finish.
Anyway, I do it. The day before yesterday I finished a second time and found in it many things that I could not see when I read as a teenager and now, more experience as a reader and as a human being (in the space of ten or twelve years between the first and second readings met carnal pleasures, made a career, I lived in another country, I started working, got married, had a daughter , among other things), I have come to understand. It's really cool, for something is considered the second most important work of literature in English (later of "Don Quixote" by Cervantes, of course).
Having read both, now I wonder what the next one, because I have not heard it mentioned some work as the third most important in English. " I am almost certain to opt for a work of Cortazar; maybe "Rayuela", the most recognized, but also attracts me, "Cronopios and Famas. Anybody wants to give me a book?
that I can only suggest you read "One Hundred Years of Solitude" if not already done so, to ignore the pseudo-intellectuals who feel that magnify to downplay the work of García Márquez. If you already read it and are avid readers ready for a bigger challenge, read "Don Quixote de la Mancha" (complete works, not abstract) and then see what is to be number one.
Greetings to all. Please comment, even a "hello" will suffice to know they read.
